Is it worth it?

If you want your own domain name, in addition to the hosting, you'll have to register it with one of the companies that handle registrations for .com, .net.,etc. Prices range from just below $5.00 to about $35.00 per domain. So, what is the difference between the cheap guys and the expensive ones? One word, "Service". Our experience has been that most of the cut-rate registration companies don't provide the service needed if you're trying to make a change or need help. Many don't have live support personnel that you can call if the on-line operations don't work properly.

Support why we stick with and recommend Network Solutions. Their on-line system works well, but when we need to talk to someone, they have personnel available 24/7. Recent ads on TV depict easy cheap domain name registration with some companies, but is it worth the price? We don't think so.
